FIFA President Gianni Infantino has congratulated Zesco United for winning the MTN Super League championship in Zambia.

Infantino has written the congratulatory letter to Zesco via Football Association of Zambia.

In the letter, Infantino attributed Zesco’s overall ninth league title to sheer hardwork and dedication.

 “Please allow me to congratulate Zesco United FC for being crowned 2021 champions of Zambia. The title is, no doubt, the result of hard work, passion and commitment, and everyone at the club can be proud of this important achievement,” Infantino said.

“I would be grateful if you could please extend my congratulations to everybody involved, whom I encourage to continue working with team spirit, passion and determination.”

Zesco officially received the league title over the weekend after seeing off Buildcon FC 7-2 at Arthur Davies Stadium in Lusaka.
