CAF Champions League Burundi Referee Pacifique Ndabihawenimana To Officiate CAF Champions League Final

Egyptian giants Al Ahly have reached the CAF Champions League final for the second consecutive season. They thrashed Espérance Sportive de Tunis 4-0 on aggregate in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, their opponent Kaizer Chiefs had to overcome a very strong Wydad Casablanca side. The Moroccan side dominated both games. But they weren’t clinical enough to comeback from their shocking 1-0 defeat in the first leg.

The final is set to take place at the Mohamed V stadium in Casablanca on July 17. And CAF have just revealed that Burundi referee Pacifique Ndabihawenimana will be the man to manage the event.

The 36-year-old has previous experience officiating in several major continental competitions such as the 2019 AFCON as well as various editions of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup tournaments.

Ndabihawenimana will have Cameroon Elvis Guy and Lee Okello of Uganda as assistants. An the fourth referee will be Eric Otogo of Gabon. Moroccan official Radwan Jaid will take control of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). Another cameroon officer Alioum Abu Bakr of Cameroon will stand as match supervisor.
