Dstv Premiership SOUTH AFRICA : DStv Premiership team hire ex-Lesotho coach Senong

South Africa’s Sekhukhune United have hired former Lesotho coach, Thabo Senong, as the newly promoted DStv Premiership club’s assistant coach.

Club Chairperson Simon Malatji said Senong was a well-versed trainer who would add value to the team.

“I would like to take this opportunity to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Senong to Babina Noko,” Malatji said in a statement.

We know his work ethic and believe he will work well with the Technical team, while we’re trying to rebuild and ensure we have a formidable side for the new season.”

The former South Africa under-20 mentor will be serving under head coach MacDonald Makhubedu.

Sekhukhune have hired Senong shortly after the exit of Selaotse Mosala on Friday.

Senong surprised the football fraternity in Lesotho when he threw in the towel.

He resigned despite having started drilling the team ahead of the Cosafa Cup scheduled for South Africa from July 6.

Senong had served as Lesotho coach for over a year.
