Andre Ayew reacts to his Ghana Footballer of the Year Award

Ghana Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has reacted to his Ghana Footballer of the Year Award on Monday morning after winning the individual trophy the day before.

Ayew, 31, was in competition with Ajax Amsterdam’s versatile midfielder Mohammed Kudus and Great Olympics captain Gladson Awako.

But his stellar performances with Swansea City lasts season put him ahead of of the other contenders.

However, the former West Ham forward said all of the nominees are winners as he said thanks to the organizers and Ghanaians for their support.

“A big thank you to the people of Ghana for your incredible support every time. I am grateful for the honour as Ghana Footballer of the Year and I share this glory with you all. Congratulations to all the nominees, we are all winners! God bless”, the free agent wrote on his Twitter account.

In addition, Senegal and Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy has been given the ‘Best African International Award’ for his monumental contribution to Blues’ UEFA Champions league winning season.

Hearts of Oak’s Samuel Boadu has been awarded Male’s Coach of the Year, while King Faisal’s Danlad Ibrahim went away with the Goalkeeper of the Year award.
