Africa Soccer CAF Women’s Champions League : Check out the draw for WAFU B clubs

The draw for the CAF Women’s Champions league in WAFU B Zone have been made this Monday, July 5 early in the morning in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The inaugural edition of this new CAF competition will see six female clubs from six different nations compete in the quest of the first ever trophy.

They are gathered in two groups of three teams each coming from Togo, Niger, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and Ghana.

The competition will take place from 15 to 30 July in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

Group A : Onze sœurs de Gagnoa (Ivory Coast), Union Sportive des Forces Armées (Burkina Faso), Amis du monde (Togo).

Group B : Rivers Angels (Nigeria), Hasaacas Ladies FC (Ghana), AS Police (Niger).

To decide the teams that will participate at the final competition in Egypt later this year, Zonal Qualifiers will be played as eliminatory rounds.

The top six teams (one from each CAF Zone) and the host of the final tournament (Egypt) as well as one extra team from the Zone holding the title of the previous Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (2018) will qualify to the final tournament.

The CAF Women’s Champions League competition is a new competition introduced by CAF to develop women’s football product in Africa.
