Africa Soccer MALAWI : Striker Kajoke attends trials at Cape Town City

Malawian youthful striker Hassan Kajoke is attending trials at Cape Town City FC in South Africa, his club has confirmed.

Nyasa Big Bullets FC announced that Kajoke will spend two weeks at the Eric Tinkler-coached side.

“The 23-year-old forward arrived in Cape Town late Sunday afternoon for a two-week trial and medical assessment at the DStv Premier Soccer League side.

Kajoke, who has netted 10 goals for The People’s Team in the ongoing TNM Super League campaign, is expected to return home on 31 July,” Bullets website reports.

Kajoke has established himself as a principal striker for Bullets.

He top-scored with 17 league goals in the 2019 season to finish four goals behind Golden Boot Award winner, Khuda Muyaba.

He led the frontline for Bullets as they won the Super League championship in 2018 and 2019 seasons.

The forward is knocking on the senior national team door for the starting XI.

The 23-year-old has two goals in some four games for the national team.

Kajoke has since been excused from the Cosafa Cup scheduled for South Africa from July 6 to 18.

The forward earned promotion from Bullets reserve side to the senior team in the 2018 season.

Kajoke was once earmarked for trials at Ukraine second tier side, FC Rukh Lviv in 2019, alongside team-mate Precious Sambani.

However, the trip flopped due to Visa complications.
