Egypt Al Ahly Defeats El-Makkasa, Fire Warning To Kaizer Chiefs

Egyptian club Al Ahly defeated Misr El-Makkasa 4-1 to send a strong message of intent to their CAF Champions League final opponent Kaizer Chiefs.

The Red Army took the battle to their opponent pegging them on their own half and it took just 23 minutes before the away team broke the deadlock through Mohamed Sherif.

The home team levelled five minutes later through Ahmed Mody after Basem Morsy was fouled inside the box by Ayman Ashraf.

Sheriff scored his brace for the day and restored Al Ahly lead after heading home a Ali Maaloul’s cross.

Mohamed Desouki put the ball in his own net fifteen minutes before the end of the game to give Al Ahly a comfortable 3-1 win.

Mohamed Kafsha put the cherry on top of the game in added time as he lobbed the ball past El-Makkada goalkeeper as the game ended 4-1.

Al Ahly will be hoping to become the first Africa club to win the CAF champions league La Decima when they face Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.
