South Africa are taking on Zambia in a Cosafa Cup Group A contest that is academic for the hosts but means a lot for Chipolopolo this afternoon.

Bafana Bafana sealed their semifinal slot on Tuesday after thumping Lesotho 4-0 to take their tally to unassailable 10 points.

Therefore, the game against Zambia would have no consequence to the hosts at Isaac Wolfson Stadium.

However, for Zambia, they need a win at all cost and pray that Eswatini should lose to Botswana also this afternoon in another match for the group.

Zambia and Botswana have three points each whereas Eswatini have six points. A win for the Chipololo can see them through on superior head-head record over Eswatini.

However, if Eswatini beat Botswana, then it is all over for Zambia with head-to-head left to separate Sihlangu and the Zebras.

Zambia lost their two opening matches in the group before resurrecting their campaign with a 2-1 win over Botswana on Tuesday.
