Esther Tamaraebi Toko got Team Nigeria at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games underway in the Rowing event this early morning.

Toko who became the first home based to represent Nigeria in the sculls also known as Rowing finished 5th in her heat in the women’s single.
She finished with a time of 8:58.49 and will now compete in the repechage on Saturday for a chance at making the quarter-finals.
Repechage in sculls is when a first round losers are given another chance to qualify for the semifinals.
