Nigeria Onyekuru Joins Olympiakos On Permanent Deal From Monaco

Super Eagles winger Henry Onyekuru has joined  Greek giants  Olympiakos on a permanent transfer from Monaco.

Onyekuru spent the remaining of the 2020/2021 season on-loan with Galatasaray before he returned back to his parent club Monaco.

According to report, Olympiakos paid £5m to sign the winger after Galatasaray failed to trigger their buying out option.

The new stop of Henry Onyekuru, whose loan contract with Galatasaray ended and his team returned to Monaco, was Greece.

The 24-years after officially signing all necessary documents said he is ready to play against Ludogorets.

He said, “I am happy to be here. I want to help the team in our championship goals. 

“We want to go as far as we can in the European cups.

” I think I will be ready in the Ludogotets games.” 

Onyekuru had last month bidder farewell to Galatasaray.

He shared a photo with Galataasaray manager Fatih Terim with a caption;“Thanks for everything and good luck”.

The Nigerian International made 71 appearances for Galatasaray and scored 22 goals with 12 assists.

He won the Super League and Turkish Cup championships and lifted 2 trophies in his club career here.

He was linked with a permanent move to Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
