Nigeria Tokyo 2020: Dollars Rain For Oborududu, Brume For Winning Nigeria’s Medals

Minister of Youths and Sports Sunday Dare has splashed cash prize on Blessing Oborududu and Ese Brume for winning medals at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Blessing won Silver and received  $10,000 while Brume got $7,500 from the Minister.
Both athletes were hosted to a brief ceremony by the Nigerian delegation in Japan, and they each got the prize money for the medals they won in their events.

According to the Sports Minister, any Nigerian athlete who wins a GOLD medal in their event at the ongoing Tokyo Olympic Games , will receive a cash prize of $15,000. While a Silver medal gets $10,000 and then Bronze $7,500.
Oborududu and Brume were the first beneficiaries after winning two medals so far at the Olympics in wrestling and long jump respectively.
