Transfer window OFFICIAL : PSG announces Lionel Messi signing until 2023

Lionel Messi has just been unveiled by Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain as he completed successfully his medical and signed a two-year contract with another year optionally.

The 34-year old is a new PSG player after days of speculations with fans waiting for this particular moment.

Pending his press conference on Wednesday morning, Leo Messi spoken to Paris Saint-Germain’s official website about his delight and ambitions after joining them following the end of his contract with Barcelona.

“Paris Saint-Germain are very happy to announce the signing of Leo Messi to a two-year contract, with an optional additional year”, PSG wrote on their website.

“I can’t wait to start a new chapter of my career in Paris,” Messi said.

“The Club and its vision are in perfect harmony with my ambitions. I know how talented the players and staff are here.

“I am determined to build, alongside them, something great for the Club and for the fans. I can’t wait to hit the lawn of the Parc des Princes”, Leo Messi added.

Furthermore, Leo Messi who will wear shirt number 30 has been hailed by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi who expects the club to continue winning after his arrival.

“I am delighted that Lionel Messi has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain and we are proud to welcome him to Paris, with his family”, Al-Khelaïfi said.

“He made no secret of his desire to continue playing at the highest level and winning trophies. The ambition of the Club is of course the same. The addition of Leo to our world-class team confirms the relevance and success of our recruitment.

“Together with our great coach and his staff, I look forward to seeing our team make history for all of our supporters around the world.”
