Egypt EFA Refuse To Release Ahmed Yasser’s ITC To Altay SK For The Transfer

Egypt U23 and Ceramica Cleopatra striker Ahmed Yasser Rayan has completed move to Turkish Super Lig side Altay SK as the club announced earlier. But the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has refused to sent the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) as the Turkish side made the request.

Altay SK showed interest in Rayan after his performance in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he scored one goal in Egypt’s only win against Australia.

However, Egyptian football fans knew his goal-scoring abilities far before his appearance in the Olympics. Al Ahly academy graduate never got the chance to shine with the Red Devils. And he was sent subsequently sent on several loan spells.

In 25 appearances with Ceramica during this season, Rayan found the back of the net on 15 occasions. And he led the Egyptian Premier League’s goal-scoring charts for a large portion of the season. Despite the negotiations between Al Ahly and Altay SK going smoothly, the Turkey move could fall apart due to EFA refusing to send the player’s ITC.

According to EFA, for the International Transfer Certificate to be sent, Rayan should have returned to Al Ahly after his loan to Ceramica before leaving for Turkey.
