Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane has written his name into the golden book of Dstv Premiership history following his goal that earn Brazilians winning start to the new season against AmaZulu FC.

The 32-year joined a closed cercle of player to have score half-century goal in the history of South African top-flight as that penalty converted was his 50th league goal.

Zwane is the ninth active player to reach the 50-goal mark after alongside Ndumiso Mabena, Kermit Erasmus, Gabadinho Mhango, Bongi Ntuli, Bernard Parker, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Khama Billiat and Bradley Grobler, according to KickOff.

In addition, Themba Zwane scored 63 goals and provided 42 assists in 287 appearances across all competitions since joining Sundowns in 2010, according to Transfermarkt.
