Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have just announced the sacking of Pharaohs head coach Hossam El-Badry after the 1-1 draw against Gabon on Sunday night.

The Badry time at Egypt’s national football team is over. The 61-year old has been dismissed of his functions as head coach on Monday, September 6.

The news have been confirmed by the EFA itself through a statement on their social media.

The statement reads : “The Egyptian Football Association would like to thank Hossam El-Badry and his technical staff for the work they have done for the national team.

“We wish them good luck and fortune in their future career. And the EFA will decide the new technical staff for the national team during the next 48 hours.”

The FA is apparently not happy of the results going on with the Pharaohs who have 4 points out of wo 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Egypt almost lose against Gabon on Monday night, but Mohamed Salah saved his nation from the defeat by equalizing.

“We came to Gabon with winning intentions, but the sending-off of Omar Gaber affected us greatly”, Hossam El-Badry said after the Gabon draw as per KingFut.

“Tarek Hamed just played a full 90 minutes game three days ago, that’s why I decided Hamdy Fathy would be a more suitable choice.

“The substitutions were a great risk, but seeing that they earned us a point made us happy, and I’d like to thank the players who followed the game plan,” he concluded.

In addition, El-Badry has been appointed Egypt head coach in 2019 just after Pharaohs’ catastrophic 2018 World Cup participation in Russia where they were knocked out in the Group stages.
