CAF Champions League Guinea Coup May Affect Bayelsa United, Ashanti Golden Boys CAFCC Game

Bayelsa United CAF Confederation Cup qualifier against Guinean side, Ashanti Golden Boys may not hold due to the political unrest in Guinea.

On Sunday, military seized Guinea long serving President and announced the closure of the country’s boarders.

Following the incident, CAF on Sunday cancelled the earlier scheduled FIFA World Cup qualifier game between Guinea and Morocco that could have been played on Monday.

Bayelsa United was expected to travel to Conakry to play Ashanti Young Boys September 11.

Although CAF have not issued any statement in respect of the CAF Confederation Cup, but AfricaTopSports is certain the continent football governing body may reschedule the game until the coast is clear.
