Nigeria Women Football League Aisha Buhari Tourney: Super Falcons Set To Continue Dominace Over Mali

Super Falcons will be hoping to continue their dominance over Mali when both teams lock horns in the opening game of the maiden Aisha Buhari invitational tournament today.

The invitational tournament which had received FIFA approval will kick off inside the newly reconstructed Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan Lagos.

Wednesday’s game will be the 10th time both teams will be meeting with Super Falcons winning nine of the previous games with one ending draw.

With the likes of Barcelona Femeni forward, Asisat Oshoala and other notable Super Falcons players like Desire Oparanozie, Francesca Ordega, Onome Ebi, Osinachi Ogale,  Rasheedat Ajibade are expected to line up the host should be on a better position to defeat the Malians.

The tournament will avail Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum, another opportunity to continue to build the team following their performance at the Summer Series Invitational in his home country the United States.

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino alongside CAF President, Patrice Motsepe are expected to grace the opening ceremony of the Aisha Buhari tournament.
