Africa Soccer World Cup African qualifiers : Benin names 25-man squad to take on Tanzania

Benin Squirrels head coach Michel Dussuyer has named a 25-man squad to face off with Tanzania next month on matchday 3 and 4 of the FIFA Qatar World Cup qualifiers.

The Frenchman did not make great changes from his last squad who earned four points from their first two qualifying clashes.

Dussuyer called up the team’s figureheads the likes of Khaled Adenon who is the skipper, Olivier Verdon, Sessi d’Almeida, Steve Mounié and Michael Poté to name but a few.

He also called three local-based players namely Loto Popo’s goalkeeper Batori Douyeme who is handed his first call-up, Ayema FC’s skill-gifted midfielder Junior Olaïtan and Buffles FC striker Roland Beakou.

Benin will make a trip to Dar Salam on October 7 for the first lege before hosting the Taifa Stars back three days later in Cotonou for the reverse fixture.
