African players abroad I didn’t think twice – Zambo Anguissa on his choice to join Napoli

Highly-rated Cameroon midfielder André-Franck Zambo Anguissa said he didn’t think twice when the opportunity to join Serie A giants Napoli was offered to him.

The 25-year old joined the Italian top-flight side on the deadline day of the summer transfer window from English second tier outfit Fulham FC.

His loan deal will end in June next year, but the option to buy which is set at €15m could be met by the club should his performances convinced them.

The least we can say after Anguissa’s first six games with the Partenopei is that he is feeling at home already as he controls Napoli’s midfield.

“I immediately realised that Naples would be the right choice for me because I immediately felt everyone’s trust, when the proposal arrived, I did not think twice to accept,” Anguissa told Radio Kiss Kiss.

The former Olympique Marseille said he is not in rush for the deal to be made permanent, and just focus on playing and giving all his best.

“At this moment, I do not think about the contact. I am interested in playing; time will tell if I deserved the move here permanently.

“I am very happy to be here in Naples. We will see what happens, but now I think of the field and give my best every time I play,”  he added.
