Andre Ayew

Al Sadd winger and Ghana Black Stars captain Andre Ayew snubbed red-hot Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and named the best African player at the moment.

Ayew hit the ground running in Qatar as he already scored 4 goals in 5 league appearances this season under Xavi Hernandez’s control.

During an interview to Qatari Channel Al Sadd, the 31-year old was invited to name the best African player at the moment between Mo Salah, Riyad Mahrez and Sadio Mané.

And Ayew answered “Mané” despite the fact that the Senegalese forward does not have the same figures as the Egyptian since the start of the new season.

Mané scored 5 goals in 7 games while Salah netted 9 in 9 appearances.

In addition, André Ayew and Ghana teammates will host Zimbabwe on Saturday, October 9 for the matchday 3 of the World Cup qualifiers.
