Africa Soccer Fahad Bayo powers Uganda Cranes to 1st World Cup qualifiers win over Rwanda

The Cranes of Uganda claimed their first victory in these World Cup qualifiers thanks to Fahad Bayo’s goal against Rwanda’s Amavubi on Thursday.

Milotin Sredojevic’s men scored in the dying minutes of the first half (41 minutes) as FC Ashdod cedntre-forward gave the lead to the away side.

The Cranes managed to kept that advantage until the end full-time despite Amavubi’s threat of scoring the equalizer.

A short but important win for Uganda who are second in Group with 5 points behind Mali who have 7.

Rwanda on the other hand are bottom of the group with 1 point out of three games.
