Tino Kadewere

Zimbabwean right-winger Tino Kadewere feels elated to be back from injury ahead of Olympique Lyonnais’s league clash against AS Monaco on Saturday.

The 25-year old has been out of action since last month and a quadriceps injury picked up during national team duty with the Warriors against South Africa on matchday 1 of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

So far, he missed out his country’s matchday 3 and 4 qualifying games of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with both being lost to Ghana Black Stars.

Now that he is back, Kadewere is looking to grabbing points as much as possible with the French top-flight side and to secure a Champions league slot for next season.

“I trained well during the break. I’m happy to be back. I’m very motivated and I feel very good. We have a big run of games. We will try to take as many points as possible”, Tino Kadewere said during a press conference on Thursday.

“We worked a lot in front of goal and on the quality of our crosses. We need to be efficient. I have confidence in myself and I want to help the team.

“I want to play as many minutes as possible — I’m ready for that. I want to reach the Champions League with OL”, he added.
