Turkish giants Besiktas suffered a 1-4 home loss to Sporting of Portugal in a Group C match of the Uefa Champions League played on Tuesday evening.

Sebastian Coates scored a brace with the other goals for Sporting coming from Pablo Sarabia and Paulino whereas Clye Larin scored Besiktas consolation goal.

The result saw the Turkish side register its first win of the group stages and remain on third place with three points from three games.

Besiktas remain bottom with no win yet in three games.

As we went to press, leaders Ajax Amsterdam were taking on Borussia Dortmund in a top of the table clash.
