Pitso Mosimane’s agent and wife Moira Tlhagale has set the record straight regarding the coach’s future at Al Ahly.
Mosimane still has a year left on his contract with Al Ahly. And there were reports that the 57-year-old mentor could leave the ‘Club of Century’. And that’s because, at least according to media reports, Mosimane wanted a ‘protection clause’ in addition to an increased salary.
Al Ahly, however, released a statement confirming that Mosimane never asked for a salary increase. And that talks regarding a possible contract extension will be re-opened at the end of the season.

Now, according to Tlhagale, who represents Mosimane, Al Ahly have indicated that they would like to keep the Kagiso-born mentor beyond the expiry of his contract.
And she made it clear that in negotiations there are disagreements and agreements. And she further added that if Mosimane and Al Ahly don’t agree terms then the parties will go separate ways.
Furthermore, Tlhagale said Mosimane will continue to work for Al Ahly should the two parties reach an agreement when negotiating a new contract.
“Al Ahly has indicated to us that they want to talk. We are very open with them to have an extension of the contract.” Said Tlhagale in an interview with SA FM.
“And, obviously, in negotiations we might agree and we might not agree. The reality of the matter is, if we don’t agree, we part ways. And if we agree we will continue.” She continued.
