Nigeria LMC Approves Sani Abacha Stadium For Kano Pillars

Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) club, Kano Pillars has confirmed that the will use the Sani Abacha Stadium as home ground in the 2021/2022 NPFL season.

Kano Pillars adopted the Ahmadu Bello Stadium as home ground last season as the Sani Abacha Stadium was being used then as isolation centre for COVID-19.

Ahead of the new season kick off with has not bee disclosed yet, the League Management Company inspected the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano and gave a nod for it to be used.

The Sani Abacha Stadium has remained the Mai Su Gida fortress since it was founded.

All their home games for the coming season will be played there.

The LMC is yet to announce the date for the kick off for the 2021/2022 season.

However, some clubs that would be playing in the Nigeria league top flight have been engaging in pre-season games and tournament to get in shape ahead of the new season.

Akwa United are currently defending champions of the NPFL.
