COSAFA Malawi U-17 drawn alongside Zambia and Seychelles in Cosafa Championship

Malawi Under-17 national football team (boys) has been drawn alongside Zambia and Seychelles in Group C of the 2021 Cosafa Youth Championship.

The competition’s re-draw took place today on Wednesday at 11:00am following the late inclusion of Zimbabwe to the boys’ competition.

In the initial draw conducted last Friday, Malawi were in group B alongside defending champions South Africa, Angola, Botswana and Seychelles.

The initial draw had 10 teams in the competition placed in two groups of five each.

According to Cosafa, the new draw will see the 11 teams placed in three groups, two with four teams each and one comprising three. 

The championship will be played as part of Region 5 Youth Games scheduled for Maseru, Lesotho from December 1 to 10 2021.
