Africa Soccer Cameroon coach Conceiçao names final squad to face Malawi, Ivory Coast with Andre Onana

Cameroon head coach Antonio Conceiçao has named a 27-man final squad including Ajax Amsterdam goalkeeper Andre Onana to take on Malawi and Ivory Coast for the matchday 5 and 6 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Indomitable Lions will need to give it all and during these last two games in order to make it through to the next round of the World Cup qualifiers.

The most important match for Karl Toko Ekambi and teammates will be that against Elephants of Ivory Cioast who beat them in the first leg (2-1) in Abidjan.

However, they have to make sure they are still in the run for the only ticket by beating Malawi Flames on November 13 before the showdown against Ivory Coast three days later.

Without a competitive game since February this year, Andre Onana has been however maintained in the team by Antonio Conceiçao. Now it remains to be known whether he’ll be the first choice goalkeeper or not.
