Cameroon are dealt a huge blow ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers matches against Malawi this week and Ivory Coast next week.

The indomitable lions will continue their second round ticket pursuit against the Flames this Sunday, November 13 for the matchday 5.

Three days later, Antonio Conceiçao’s team will host Ivory Coast Elephants for a crucial game that will surely determine who makes it through to the next round.

However, Cameroon can not count on the services of Kunde Malong who is a key player in the midfield for the Lions.

The 26-year old ahs been injured on Sunday with his club, Olympiakos in Greek and is likely to be ruled out for 2 up to 3 weeks before coming back to action.

According to CFOOT Cameroun, he sustained “muscles problems” as he came off in the 41st minute of his side’s 1-0 home win against Ionikos FC to let his place for Guinean central midfielder Madi Camara.

Antonio Conceiçao will then be forced to reconsider his tactical plans in the midfield and look for other partners for Zambo Anguissa.
