Cameroonian defender Jerome Onguene could leave Austrian Bundesliga side Red Bull Salzburg when his contract runs out in June 2022 as a German Bundesliga side is set to welcome him.
Since his arrival at Salzburg in 2018 from Stuttgart, the 23-year old established himself as one of the best young defenders in the Austrian league.
The Mbalmayo-native has 1 goal to his name in 7 league appearances this season and is yet to decide over his future.

However, his suitors start working backstage in order to land him on a free transfer in the next summer transfer window.
According to well-informed French outlet Foot Mercato, Jerome Onguene is in the viewfinder of German Bundesliga side Vfl Wolfsburg.
The aforementioned source says the currently 4th-based Bundesliga outfit have even submitted a contract offer to the Indomitable lion.
Both parties are yet to found an agreement with negotiations to be continued in the upcoming weeks.
