CAF Champions League CAF Confed Cup:Egyptian Embassy Denies Rivers United Visa

Rivers United has written to Confederation of African Football CAF of visa denial by Egyptian Embassy ahead of the second leg TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup second leg against Al Masry.

Rivers United in a statement gotten by en. Africatopsports.com said the Egyptian wants to manipulate COVID 19 test ahead of the game.

The statement added that Egyptian Embassy wanted to weaken their the club.

To rub salt to wound, Rivers United has also gotten wind that Covid19 test manipulations will also be employed to further weaken the resolve of the team.

“To this effect, Rivers United has drawn the attention of Africa’s football governing body, CAF in writing, through the Nigeria Football Federation, as well the Nigerian Embassy in Egypt to this unsavoury and barbaric scheme.

This is the second time a North African country will frustrate the effort of Nigeria clubs as Morocco last week denied Enyimba entrance to Tunisia in their game against Al Ittihad.
