CAF Champions League CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United Arrives Alexandria

Rivers United players and officials have arrived Alexandria ahead of their TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup against Al Masry.

The team had visa hitches but it has been resolved and they have also undergone their COVID-19 test in Ismaila according to a statement by the club media officer, Charles Mayuku.

Rivers United would have their first training session 5pm on Saturday ahead of the game which comes up on Sunday.

A tweet from the club media officer reads;

Time Check: 10:45am After undergoing the mandatory covid-19 testing in Ismailia, players and officials of Rivers United have embarked on a trip to Alexandria.

“The team is expected to later train at the Borg El Arab Stadium by 5pm (Nig time).”

The first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup ended 2-1 in favour of Rivers United at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba.
