Chelsea West Ham Bounceback To End Chelsea Winning Streak In London Derby

West Ham United bounced back and put a stop to Chelsea eight Premier League unbeaten streak in Saturday’s London derby at the London Stadium.

Chelsea have been enjoying a scintillating run of victory since losing 1-0 to Manchester City.

The Blues traveled to London Stadium on the back of their 2-1 win against Watford in the midweek game.

Thiago Silva powered Chelsea ahead in the 28th minute but the Hammers leveled through Manuel Lanzini who scored from the spot five minutes before the break.

Jorginho poor back pass was capitalized on by Jarrod Bowen only for Edouard Mendy to lunge in and conceded a penalty in his bid to stop him.

Mason Mount restored Chelsea’s lead with a sumptuous near-post volley on the stroke of half-time to ensure the visitors go into the dressing room leading with 2-1.

Bowen levelled for West Ham United in the 56th minute before Arthur Masuaku goal in the 87th minute handed David Moyes another significant victory against a top of four team having defeated the two Manche but the hosts roared back once again through Bowen’s rasping drive (56), as Thomas Tuchel’s side conceded more than one goal for only the third time in his 53rd game in charge.

The hammer blow was administered in bizarre circumstances when Arthur Masuaku’s fizzed cross (87) bamboozled Mendy, found the Chelsea net, and saw West Ham claim a first league victory in four to consolidate fourth place in the Premier League.
For Chelsea, a second defeat of the campaign ends an eight-game Premier League unbeaten run, leaves the door ajar to Manchester City and Liverpool, and means the Blues could end the weekend as low as third.
