FIFA Arab Cup group phase ended on Tuesday with the last meetings. Here is an overview of matchday 3 and teams that progressed to the knock out round.
Morocco kept the lead of their group with a narrow win (1-0) over Saudi Arabia. Thus, the Atlas Lions progressed the quarterfinals with a perfect performance during the group phase.
A win was mandatory for Jordan to qualify. And it was what they did against Jordan (5-1).
Already qualified, Algeria and Egypt ended in 1-1 draw. The pharaohs who tied with the Fennecs with the same score, were awarded the first place thanks to fair play (number of yellow card).
