African players abroad Daka on target as Leicester thump Newcastle

Patson Daka

Zambian striker Patson Daka scored when Leicester City eased past Newcastle United 4-0 at King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Daka earned only his second start this season ahead of Jamie Vardy and the Zambian made use of the chance.

James Maddison put Leicester in front from the penalty spot after he was fouled.

Thereafter, Daka made it 2-0 after being set through by Harvey Barnes.

Youri Tielemans and Maddison added two more goals for the hosts.

Daka has now registered seven goals in all competitions since he joined the Foxes from Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg.

He is the leading Zambian scorer in the Premier League.

Wilfred Ndidi also featured for Leicester after he was introduced to replace injured Jonny Evans.
