The Teranga Lions of Senegal suffered a lot before coming over Zimbabwe’s Warriors in their opening AFCON 2021 game as they had to wait until the additional time before winning the match thanks to a Sadio Mane penalty.
The West African country do dominated the game but they were not realistic in the last 16 yards with Bayern Munich right-wing back Bouna Sarr being the most valuable player all along the game.

The referee did not think twice before showing the penalty spot and Sadio Mane converted it.
Senegal won the game by 1-0 but have to elevate their level in the next game against Naby Keita’s Guinea on Friday, January 14.
