Ghana will have to wait AFCON 2021 matchday 3 before securing their qualification to the round of 16 following their 1-1 draw against Gabon tonight.

The Black Stars started the game with a lot of determination as they knew they were playing a part of their destiny tonight.

And their good start to the game paid off in the 18th when captain Andre Ayew gave the lead to Milovan Rajevac’s men with a screamer from 20 yards.

However, Ghana have likely not leanrt from the mistakes they made against Morocco in the first game and conceded another goal in the last minutes of the game.

And Jim Allevinah was the man who brought Gabon back on track with a quality left-footed finish two minutes prior to the end of the game (88th).

The match’s end was a bit chaotic as Black Stars’ newcomer Benjamin Tetteh slapped a Gabonese and got a red card at full-time.

Ghana are compelled to beat Comoros next Tuesday in order to qualify with 4 points and probably at the third place.
