Following the win of Mali (2-0) over Mauritania and Gambia’s 1-0 victory against Tunisia, we have now the 2021 Africa Cup of nations (AFCON) round of 16 fixtures and schedule in full.
The knockout stage will start from Sunday, January 23 with Burkina Faso taking on Jim Allevinah’s Gabon while Super Eagles of Nigeria will face off with Tunisia.
Earlier on Thursday, Ivory Coast knocked out defending champions Algeria with a convincing 3-1 victory over Djamel Belmadi’s team.
