Nigeria Moses Simon reacts after Super Eagles’ elimination from AFCON 2021

Super Eagles forward Simon Moses broke his silence a day after Tunisia knocked out Nigeria in 2021 Africa Cup of nations (AFCON) round of 16.

The FC Nantes star was one of the best performers in this 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of nations for Nigeria.

The 26-year old scored 1 goal and assisted once during the 3-1 win over Sudan on matchday 2 of the group stages adding to the multiple goal scoring chances he created.

However, as the whole team against Tunisia in the last 16 round, Simon Moses is not free from criticism.

And the former Levante player apologized to Nigerians after this failure before the next rendez-vous in March against Ghana in World Cup qualifier.

“Last night defeat hurts badly. We had the support of our passionate fans and stepped on the pitch to defend our nation with all our hearts”, Moses Simon wrote on social media.

“Sadly, it did not end D way we wanted. As a team we win together, lose together and will com back stronger again, thanks for your support.”
