The last eight fixtures of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) are now shaped. Egypt and surprising Equatorial Guinea secured the two remaining tickets for the quarter-finals after their victory over Ivory Coast and Mali respectively after penalty shootout on Wednesday.

Plenty of big names have already been knocked out of the tournament. However, there are some brilliant matches to look forward to in the quarter-finals.

Cameroon continue their run, roared on by the home fans, against AFCON debutants Gambia. It was very nervy for the hosts in their last-16 match against Comoros. They will be hoping for a more comfortable match on Saturday.

Burkina Faso knocked out Gabon to make it this far. And they will face Tunisia who did brilliantly to get the better of Nigeria.

Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah was the hero as Egypt beat Ivory Coast on penalties to reach the last eight. And their reward is a quarter-final against Morocco, who have been one of the teams of the tournament.
