The 2021 Africa Cup of nations (AFCON) is moving closer to the end as the semifinals schedule are now set with 2019 runners-up Senegal beating Equatorial Guinea (3-1) to snatch the last ticket.
Aliou Cisse’s men started the game with some difficulties as the Nzalang Nacional gave them a tough opposition.
However, Famara Diedhiou opened the deadlock in the 28th minute to give Teranga Lions the lead at the break.

Then in the second stanza, Cheikhou Kouyaté (68th minutes) and Ismaila Sarr who was playing his first game in the tournament made it 3-1 (79th minutes) after Jannick Bulya’s reducer for the Guineans.
Senegal deservedly won the game by a 3-1 scoreline and will take on Burkina Faso in the semifinal.
