Confederation of African football (CAF) has imposed a hefty fine on Egypt ahead of their 2021 Africa Cup of nations (AFCON) semifinal clash against host country Cameroon on Thursday.
This comes after the Egyptian delegation refused to show up for the pre-match press conference against Morocco in quarter-final last Saturday (2-1).
Since this attitude goes against the AFCON 2021 media protocols and rules, Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has received a fine from the continent’s football governing body on Tuesday night.
