Ghana Callum Hudson-Odoi reportedly agreed to play for Ghana Black Stars

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi would be on the verge of switching allegiance to play for the Black Stars of Ghana, as per multiple local media reports.

In July 2021, the 21-year old was back into his fatherland, Ghana and even met the first of Ghanaians citizens who is President Nana Akufo-Addo.

And the latter has even ordered Youth and Sports minister Mustapha Ussif to start negotiations over his nationality switch.

However, we heard nothing about the continuation of the discussions until the Chelsea starlet came back to Ghana a week ago for winter holidays.

And it seems that things are going the right way for the one who represented England at various Youth levels including three games with the national team [before the age of 21], none of which was in a major competition.

According to Starr FM, Callum Hudson-Odoi has met with the race leader for Milovan Rajevac’s replacement as Black Stars coach Chris Hughton and was convinced by the ex-Brighton and Hove Albion to play for Ghana.

And the player said yes according to the aforementioned source during the meeting his father Bismark Odoi also attended.
