Senegal will have no excuses going into Wednesday’s AFCON semifinal clash with Burkina Faso in Cameroon.

This is the case for the Aliou Cisse’s charges as all of them have tested negative for Covid-19.

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) Secretary General Victor Seh CISSE has confirmed the outcome of the tests, which they carried out on Monday.

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) informs that following the mandatory PCR tests carried out this Monday, January 31, 2022, i.e. 48 hours before the official match Senegal vs Burkina Faso, counting for the 1⁄2 final of the CAN TotalEnergies Cameroon 2021 , the results of all the players and members of the technical staff came back negative,” Seh wrote in a statement.

Burkina Faso take on Senegal before Egypt line up against the hosts Cameroon in the other semifinal match on Thursday.

The 2019 finalists saw off Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in the quarterfinals whereas Egypt booted out Morocco 2-1 at the similar stage over the weekend.
