AFCON Cameroon come from behind to clinch AFCON 2021 bronze medal over Burkina Faso

2021 Africa Cup of nations (AFCON) host country, Cameroon came from behind to snatch a penalty shootout session against Burkina Faso and beat them to won the tournament’s bronze medal (3-3, 5-4 on penalties).

The Stallions were leading by 3-0 already before the 50th minute. However, they lost concentration and Stephane Bahoken pulled one back for the Indomitable Lions.

Vincent Aboubakar who was a second-half substitue tonight scored a brace in two minutes (85′ & 87′) to make it 3-3.

Cameroon then went on to win the game on penalties with Andre Onana being the hero as he stopped one of them.

Indomitable Lions can be proud of this bronze medal after failing to qualify for the final which will be played between Senegal and Egypt tomorrow, Sunday.
