Napoli Osimhen On Target In Napoli Victory Over Venezia

Victor Osimhen was on target as Napoli claimed a vital 2-0 win against Venezia at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on Sunday.

Osimhen was named in the starting eleven by Luciano Spalletti ahead of the game after he was declared fit for the game.

The Super Eagles forward since surgery to his cheek bone has been making cameo appearance for Napoli.

He proved he was ready to continue from where he stopped before he sustained injury against Inter Milan.

The first chance of the game came through Osimhen in the 5th minute as his right-footed shot was diverted out for a corner.

In the 28th minute, he again smashed against the post from inside the box as the first half ended goalless.

Osimhen towered high in the 59th minute to give Napoli the lead in Venice.

Osimhen did not complete the game as he was substituted in the 89th minute by Andrea Petagna.

He has now scored ten goals for Napoli this season.

The fourth official added eight minutes to the game due to time wasted as Venezia was reduced to ten men after Tyronne Ebuehi was shown a red card.

Petagna scored the second goal of the game in the 10 minutes of added time.

The victory saw Napoli closed up the gap on Inter Milan who are topping the Serie A with one point .
