Ahly will be bidding to snatch their first-ever spot in the FIFA Club World Cup final when they face South American champions Palmeiras in the semi-final. Game to kick off at 16:30 GMT at Al-Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi this Tuesday.

The Cairo giants, who have been missing more than a dozen key players due to injury and national team commitments, booked their place in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final with a 1-0 victory over Mexico’s Monterrey in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

With Chelsea potentially waiting for the winners, Palmeiras face Al Ahly in the first semi-final of the Club World Cup.

Brazilian side Palmeiras qualified straight through to the last four after winning the Copa Libertadores in South America, while Al Ahly from Egypt won the most recent edition of the CAF Champions League in Africa and beat Monterrey 1-0 on Saturday to reach this stage.
