FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP Super Eagles Soars In Latest FIFA Ranking

Super Eagles moved up four places to 32nd in the latest FIFA Ranking released by the world football governing body on Thursday.

The Super Eagles despite exiting the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations in the Round of 16, moved up in the ranking.

Nigeria was the only team, that reached the Round of 16 of the AFCON with maximum nine points during the tournament at Cameroon.

The latest ranking saw AFCON champions Senegal retained their position as number one in the continent.

AFCON winners, Senegal remains the best team, followed by Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Cameroon, Algeria, Mali and the Ivory Coast in that order to make up the top 10 best teams on the continent.

Super Eagles FIFA World Cup playoff opponent, Ghana was not ranked among the first 10 following their poor performance at the AFCON 2021

In the global ranking, Belgium remains at top and are followed by Brazil, France, Argentina, England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark and Netherlands.
