South Africa’s DStv Premiership giants have generally avoided each other in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 clashes.

The draw for the round took place on Monday in South Africa following the conclusion of the Round of 32 matches.

The highlight of the draw saw Orlando Pirates paired against Marumo Gallants in the next stage whose games will take place on February 26 2022.

Pirates saw off AmaZulu whereas Gallants upset Kaizer Chiefs to clinch the Round of 16 berths.

Another giant SuperSport United will face lower league side Platinum City Rover with league champions Mamelodi Sundowns to face Mathaithai.

The second clash involving DStv Premiership outfits is between Swallows and Royal AM.
