Egypt Juan Brown Looses Ismaily Job Just After Three Months

Ismaily coach Juan Brown had his contract terminated by mutual consent after just three months in charge, the struggling Egyptian Premier League club announced late on Thursday.

Recently, Ismaily have been struggling to keep their place among the Egyptian Premier League top-flight teams, running into financial troubles and managerial issues.

Last year, they finished 11th, only eight points ahead of Wadi Degla who were relegated to the Second Division.

During this season Ismaily are even worse, as they currently lie 17th on the league table, with only three points collected in nine fixtures.

The Argentinean Juan Brown was brought in last November after the team made a poor start to the season, losing their opening three games.

Despite starting a new era with head coach Juan Brown and countless new signings, the Yellows have been struggling to get positive results, despite performing much better.

Ismaily president Yehia El-Koumy believes that Brown is the main reason behind their poor performances, especially after their loss to Pyramids on Wednesday.

I’m very sad about what happened against Pyramids. The coach needs to carry some of the responsibility because he was too defensive. And we were waiting to concede a goal at any moment.” He told ONTime Sport TV.

As an Ismaily fan, I would say the coach must leave. But as an official I need to think of the team’s stability. And alternatives in the event of his departure. In my opinion, these players need an Egyptian coach.” Added the president.

Hence, in a club statement, Ismaily announced the sacking coach Brown.

Ismaily’s board of directors announced that the contract of coach Juan Brown had been terminated by mutual consent after a series of negative results in the Premier League.

Former star Mohamed Hommos and Ashraf Khedr will take charge of Ismaily on a temporary basis.” The club management said.
