Ahead of the clash, the Egyptian giants have been handed a major boost after star goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy was declared fit following a spell on the sidelines.

Mohamed El Shenawy, Al Ahly’s football first-team goalkeeper, took part in Monday’s training session at El Tetsh Stadium after recovering from his injury.” Said the club in a statement.

Our goalkeeper completed his recovery program and is now fit to participate in the team’s upcoming matches.” Continued the statement.

El Shenawy suffered a hamstring injury during Egypt’s CAF Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 win over Ivory Coast. And this forced the goalkeeper to miss Pitso Mosimane’s men goalless draw against Sudan’s Al Hilal last weekend.
